Background

Concentric was retained by a national property management company to conduct indoor air quality (IAQ) assessments at 13 buildings in Ottawa, ON.

Approach & Methodology

The objective of the IAQ assessment was to ensure that the general building ventilation quality met regulatory guidelines and the air was of acceptable quality. To achieve the project objective, Concentric’s scope of work involved a visual site inspection as well as testing for thermal comfort parameters (temperature and relative humidity), carbon dioxide, volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide, ozone, nitrogen dioxide, ammonia, formaldehyde, light and sound levels and airborne particulate. Separate IAQ reports were prepared and submitted for each building within the agreed upon timeline and budget.

Key Challenges
