Background

Concentric was retained for proposal submission and engineering design services for the construction of two 72-foot grain storage bins in Grassy Lake, Alberta.

Approach & Methodology

Concentric was responsible for all bid-related work including attending bid meetings, filling in bid documents in accordance to tender specifications, and creating a high-quality proposal to submit to the site owner on the Client’s behalf. This also included preliminary engineering drawings and/or sketches to supplement the proposed design. All relevant fee information, including supplier pricing and overall project pricing was compiled to include in the project proposal.

Key Challenges

Unique foundation complications at the proposed location of the new grain storage bins required detailed consideration by Concentric and the Client, resulting in additional design analysis and problem solving.
