In the late fall of 2004, Concentric was retained by the Canadian Space Agency to undertake a Designated Substance Survey of the basement chiller room of the David Florida Laboratory.
As part of the survey, Concentric completed sampling for materials which could contain lead, asbestos, silica and mercury. All of which are deemed as Designated Substances by the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Once complete, our report provided the location and amounts of designated substances that were present within the room.
The report was subsequently used by Canadian Space Agency officials to make informed decisions pertaining to a planned retrofit of the chiller room.
