Indoor Air Quality - FEDERAL BUILDING ASBESTOS SURVEY & MANAGEMENT PLAN
Indoor Air Quality - Engineering - FEDERAL BUILDING ASBESTOS SURVEY & MANAGEMENT PLAN

As part of Departmental Policy 057, the Department of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is required to complete a detailed survey of each building within the region to determine if asbestos is present, and if so, where, and in what condition.

Concentric was retained to complete an asbestos survey and Asbestos Mangement Plan (AMP) forthe facility, constructed in 1956 and having total gross area of over 10,000m squared

Concentric engaged in a systematic, floor-by-floor, room-by-room, inspection of the building to document the location, type and condition of asbestos containing materials.

Concentric collected, recorded and submitted representative building material samples for laboratory analysis, interpreted the analytical results, and ranked confirmed asbestos containing materials.

Concentric prepared an Asbestos Survey Report identifying the type, location and condition of asbestos containing materials within the building, and an Asbestos Management Plan to detail procedures and precautions for dealing with ACM’s within the building.
