Concentric was retained to review water infiltration occurring at select units on the east elevation of the fourteen (14) storey residential condominium building.
The investigation concluded that the steel shelf angles which were located at each floor slab, exhibited widespread and severe corrosion on the seven (7) upper floors.
Concentric prepared tender documents and provided site review and contract administration services to replace the brick veneer on the east elevation.
The project involved the complete removal and replacement of the brick veneer and steel shelf angles on the east elevation, and associated envelope component upgrade.
The project was awarded in the spring of 2005 and was successfully completed in November 2005.
