Concentric was retained to assess the curtain wall system at one of the three, seven story office towers that make up an Executive Park.
The exterior curtain wall systems on the sixth and seventh floor had experienced periodic water infiltration in wind driven rain conditions.
Interior finishes in affected areas appeared to be impacted by mold.
The assignment included a visual assessment by swing stage of affected elevations to review as-built details, sealant performance, and curtain wall performance.
Interior finishes were assessed for microbial activity.
Upon completion of the field investigation, Concentric prepared a condition assessment report which recommended a prioritized strategy to address the water infiltration, as well as several other recommendations to maintain the service life of the building envelope.
The report provided associated construction cost estimates, and recommendations to mitigate mold growth.
